The Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) finalised a significant agreement with JPMorgan Asset Management (JPMAM), aimed at deploying billions of dollars across both public and private markets.
This partnership will see JPMAM manage a tailored portfolio for QIA, which includes a commitment of $15B directed towards public equities to bolster the fund’s long-term investment strategy, as reported by the state-run Qatar News Agency.
A further $5B will be allocated to middle-market US companies, with a concentrated focus on sectors such as industrials, services, healthcare and technology. The collaboration is expected to foster long-term value creation through sustained investment discussions, joint initiatives, and the active sharing of insights, according to comments from QIA’s chief executive officer Mohammed Saif Al Sowaidi.
Established in 2005, QIA boasts nearly $580B in AUM, as detailed by Global SWF, a platform that monitors sovereign wealth funds.
Recently, the sovereign fund participated in the latest funding round of Gatik, a US-based autonomous trucking and delivery firm, further demonstrating its strategic investment approach.
