Julius Baer (Middle East) Ltd. has appointed Roy Zaatar as Managing Director Senior Advisor and Group Head effective 16 September 2026.
Zaatar’s addition to the leadership team based in Dubai marks a significant step in enhancing the firm’s presence in the Middle East and Africa. Zaatar will lead a team of relationship managers throughout the region, reporting directly to Regis Burger: the firm’s Head of Middle East & Africa.
Zaatar brings nearly twenty years of extensive experience.
His most recent role was at Barclays, where he held the position of Team Leader and Market Head for the Arab Diaspora and Global India, having spent the last eleven years with the firm at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Zaatar’s established network across the Middle East and his strategic mindset are expected to be pivotal as Julius Baer seeks to deepen its regional footprint and enhance its comprehensive wealth management offerings. The firm has evolved into one of the largest international wealth managers in the region.
Zaatar’s appointment is indicative of Julius Baer’s ongoing commitment to investing in leadership talent within the Middle East and Africa, reinforcing its dedication to serving ultra-high net worth and high net worth clients with tailored financial solutions.
