Diversified Income Drives 34% Jump in ADCB H1 FY26 Net Profit

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) reported a notable increase in earnings for the first half and second quarter of 2026, driven by a surge in non-interest income and loan growth.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) reported a notable increase in earnings for the first half and second quarter of 2026, driven by a surge in non-interest income and loan growth.

The bank announced a net profit of AED 6.7B (approximately $1.8B) for the January to June period, marking a 34% rise compared to the previous year, as stated in a disclosure to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.

Higher Fees and Trades

Operating income showed a 12% increase, fuelled by a 22% rise in non-interest income, which benefitted from higher fees, commissions, and trading revenues.

Islamic Finance Grows

Net interest and Islamic finance income grew by 6% YoY during the first half. In the second quarter alone, ADCB reported a net profit of AED 3.4B, reflecting a 31% YoY increase, while operating income reached AED 6B, representing a 6% rise.

The bank’s total assets rose by 16% YoY, reaching AED 833B. Net loans increased by 18% to AED 445B, and customer deposits grew by 14%, amounting to AED 527B.

Cost of Risk Falls

ADCB’s asset quality remains high, climbing on FY25.

Group CFO Deepak Khullar said ADCB’s asset quality remained high, with the cost of risk declining to 38 basis points during the first half of FY26 compared to 69 basis points at the same period last year.

The lender’s non-performing loans ratio fell to a record low of 1.71%, down from 1.83% at the end of 2025, indicating strong lending and financing performance alongside steady inflows of customer deposits.

ADCB is majority-owned by the Abu Dhabi Investment Council and witnessed its shares close 1.6% higher at AED14.4 on Thursday, reflecting an almost 1% increase year to date.
