Investcorp has announced the appointment of Mashaal Aljomaih as the CEO of Investcorp Saudi Arabia, replacing Yasser Bajsair, who will seek retirement after 14 years in the company.

AlJomaih, who joined Investcorp in June 2022, previously served as Managing Director and Deputy CEO of Investcorp Saudi Arabia. With more than two decades of experience in investment banking, AlJomaih has played a crucial role in expanding Investcorp’s presence in the Kingdom alongside outgoing CEO Bajsair, who has led the company’s Saudi Arabian arm since 2010.

“I am excited to take on this role,” said AlJomaih. “Since joining Investcorp in 2022, we have seen a wealth of opportunities and appetite for investment in the Kingdom, seen through our pre-IPO vehicle. I look forward to continuing Investcorp’s growth strategy in the region, capitalizing on a dynamic and ambitious market.”

Before joining Investcorp, AlJomaih held senior positions at BNP Paribas Investment Company and JPMorgan Chase Bank. He is also a co-founder of Darin Partners, a UK-based real estate investment and consultancy firm.

AlJomaih holds a BSc in Business Administration from King Saud University and an MBA in Finance and MIS from Clark University. He also completed the Young Managers Program at INSEAD, France, and holds several professional certifications in investment advice and wealth management.

Yusef Al Yusef, Investcorp’s Global Head of Distribution, commented on AlJomaih’s appointment: “Mashaal has been instrumental in supporting the growth of our business in Saudi Arabia over the past two years. Having worked with him closely, I know he will continue the firm’s expansion in the Kingdom with his rich knowledge and understanding of the local market.”

Nahar Houthan will take over as Deputy CEO of Investcorp Saudi Arabia, following Yasser Bajsair’s retirement after a significant tenure since 2010.
