Response Plus Medical (RPM) has announced the strategic acquisition of UK-headquartered Prometheus Medical, as part of its global expansion plans.
The acquisition brings together two leading healthcare providers to form a larger global healthcare platform for energy and defence companies.
Prometheus is part of Safeguard Medical, which provides training and consultancy services to combat service providers and emergency responders.
RPM is part of Response Plus Holding PJSC, the largest pre-hospital medical services provider in the UAE and KSA, listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. The company operates 500 clinics catering to the energy and industrial sectors, including prominent names such as ADNOC, Schlumberger, Oxy, TOTAL, and Halliburton.
“The strategic acquisition of Prometheus not only enhances our capability to deliver top-tier healthcare services to valued clients in diverse and innovative fields but also expands our global footprint,” said Dr. Rohil Raghavan, CEO of Response Plus Medical.
The acquisition is set to accelerate RPM’s entry into the UK and Nordic markets, as well as provide the opportunity to extend its coverage to global oil and defence sector companies serviced by Prometheus. RPM will also become a distributor for US-based Safeguard Medical’s innovative trauma care and simulation products in GCC and India.
