Bahrain’s real GDP grew by 3.3% at constant prices and 3.4% at current prices in the first quarter of 2024, the Information & eGovernment Authority reported. The GDP reached BHD 3610.8 million, up from BHD 3494.8 million in the same period of 2023.
The oil sector saw a 3.4% growth, while the non-oil sector expanded by 3.3% at constant prices. Accommodation and food service activities led non-oil growth with a 10.7% surge, followed by financial and insurance activities at 7.4% and information and communications at 6.6%. Financial and insurance activities were the largest contributors to non-oil GDP, accounting for 16.7%, followed by manufacturing at 14.8%.
