Abu Dhabi-based artificial intelligence group G42, through its subsidiary Core42, has signed an agreement with Italian firm iGenius to deliver what is described as the largest AI compute deployment in Europe. The deal was announced during the third edition of Investopia Europe in Milan.
The agreement involves the deployment of a high-performance GPU cluster powered by NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture. The infrastructure will be operated by Core42 and housed in iGenius’ Colosseum data centre. The facility will offer over 100 exaflops of computing power and support AI workloads across sectors such as finance, manufacturing, and government.
The project aims to meet the rising European demand for sovereign digital infrastructure aligned with the region’s data governance and security policies. It will serve as a foundation for AI training, inference, and the development of sector-specific applications.
G42 and iGenius said the partnership is part of a broader effort to integrate AI into critical industrial and public value chains, with Core42 leading infrastructure delivery and iGenius focusing on applied AI solutions for regulated sectors.
The initiative is part of the UAE’s strategy to expand its global AI presence through partnerships that support digital transformation in key international markets. It also reflects growing bilateral cooperation between the UAE and Italy in advanced technologies.
Core42 and iGenius plan to expand their collaboration beyond infrastructure to cover AI adoption frameworks and enterprise use cases in line with European digital sovereignty objectives.
