Kuwait attracted $675 million in foreign direct investments (FDI) between April 2023 and March 2024, according to the Kuwait Direct Investment Authority (KDIPA).

This inflow increased the total FDI since KDIPA’s inception in January 2015 to $5.55 billion.

The investment surge came from 95 licensed entities across 34 countries, focusing primarily on services, information technology, oil and gas, construction, and infrastructure sectors.

The economic activity from these investments led to a 16% increase in spending within Kuwait’s economy, totalling approximately KD 924.1 million. This growth was supported by local goods and services, including advanced technology and equipment.

KDIPA also reported significant progress in digital transformation, investment promotion, talent development, and sustainability, enhancing the nation’s digital infrastructure.
