UAE developer Arada has awarded two construction contracts for 14 residential blocks, comprising 2,210 dwellings within the Aljada development in Sharjah.

Both contracts amount to AED 2B ($556M).

Management of Contracts

The construction of five Nesba buildings on East Boulevard and five Safa buildings on West Boulevard, part of the AED 35B mega-project, will be managed by China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group: a subsidiary of the state-owned China Railway Group.

The contract for The Gate blocks 3-6, situated at the project’s southern entrance, was awarded to Kuwait-based Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi and Sons.

This Kuwaiti firm has previously collaborated with Arada on various projects including Aljada, Masaar, and Nasma Residences.

Each contract will span a duration of 26 months, with the buildings set for handover in the second quarter of 2028.

Arada Triples Sales Volume in FY25

Arada reported that sales tripled in 2025, reaching AED 17.3B, driven by robust demand for homes in its master-planned communities and luxury developments in Dubai and Sharjah.

Unit sales surged to 5,140 last year, a significant increase from 2,171 units sold in 2024.

Spanning 24M square feet, Aljada is designed to feature over 25, 000 homes accommodating 20, 000 residents.

Arada started the next phase of development in Aljada in 2022, with the 384 sq ft Nasdaq district.
