NEOM has partnered with Asas Al-Mohileb to establish and operate a SAR 700 million ready-mix concrete facility. The multi-plant factory will primarily support the construction of THE LINE, a linear city under development in NEOM.
Asas Al-Mohileb, a Saudi Arabian construction company, is building the batching plant complex and will operate the facility, which will produce over 20,000 cubic meters of ready-mix green concrete daily.
“The delivery of these concrete plants is another testament to the rapid progress happening at NEOM,” said Nadhmi Al-Nasr, NEOM CEO. “It also underscores the strength of the Kingdom’s construction industry, and the critical role local partnerships play in delivering this transformational project efficiently and sustainably.”
The factory will incorporate carbon capture technology and energy-saving solutions, with most of the output directed toward THE LINE’s construction. The facility is set to begin operations next month, with peak activity expected in 2025. The project is expected to create over 500 local jobs. Construction on THE LINE’s foundation piles has begun, with nearly 1,000 of the 30,000 piles placed.
