Hashgraph Group secures ADGM VC fund manager license, launches $100 million web3 venture fund

The fund will support early-stage and established companies developing AI, Blockchain/DLT, Robotics, IoT, and Quantum Computing solutions.

The Hashgraph Group (THG) has obtained a venture capital fund management license through its subsidiary, Hashgraph Ventures Manager Ltd, in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). Regulated by the ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), the firm plans to launch a $100 million global venture fund, Hashgraph Venture Fund-I (HVF-I), targeting investments in web3 and DeepTech companies.

The Hashgraph Association (THA) will contribute $20 million as an anchor investor, representing 20% of the total fund size. The fund’s strategy is to support early-stage and established companies developing AI, Blockchain/DLT, Robotics, IoT, and Quantum Computing solutions, focusing on ESG impact and commercial scalability. Qualified projects will also benefit from THG’s Venture Studio Program (VSP), which provides expertise in engineering, productisation, and commercialisation.

“We have received a lot of interest in our web3 ventures fund from existing co-investors and ecosystem partners, including government institutions, sovereign wealth funds, venture capital funds, family offices, and other qualified investors,” said Stefan Deiss, Co-Founder & CEO of The Hashgraph Group. “We pay particular attention to the selection of strategic co-investor partners to build a diversified portfolio of assets across target industry sectors. We are focused on generating attractive returns through investment in the convergence of deep technologies intersecting on the Hedera distributed ledger technology (DLT) network, while empowering cross-pollination and the co-creation of long-term enterprise value within a diversified global portfolio of web3 companies.”

The fund’s investment strategy prioritises projects with demonstrable commercial traction and a commitment to ESG principles. The global reach of THG includes co-investment partnerships such as the DeepTech Venture Studio with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment (MISA), the Digital Assets Venture Studio in partnership with Qatar Finance City (QFC), the web3 Venture Studio with IIT Madras in India, and the DeepTech Venture Studio in collaboration with INNOVX in Morocco.
