Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala invests in Apleona alongside Bain Capital

Mubadala Investment Company has agreed to acquire a minority stake in Apleona, a European integrated facility management firm headquartered near Frankfurt. This investment is in partnership with a consortium led by Bain Capital’s European Private Equity team, aiming to support Apleona’s growth and development in the facility management sector.

Apleona, with over 40,000 employees, offers facility management services across Europe. The company has been expanding its European platform and investing in digital transformation, including data and AI-based control systems for HVAC systems and predictive maintenance of building technology. In 2023, Apleona acquired Gegenbauer Group, enhancing its position in the facility management market.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
