The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has confirmed that private-sector employees will receive a paid holiday from Sunday, March 30, to Tuesday, April 1, 2025, for Eid Al-Fitr.

If the month of Ramadan extends to 30 days, the holiday will be extended to include Wednesday, 2 April.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) issued a separate directive stating that the public sector will observe the Eid break from 1 to 3 Shawwal 1446 AH. Work will resume on 4 Shawwal.

Should Ramadan conclude with a 30th day, that day will also be considered a public holiday, extending the Eid period accordingly.

Both announcements align with the UAE’s official public holiday calendar. The start and end of Ramadan and Eid will be confirmed based on the sighting of the moon.
