The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has launched a licensing program for individuals seeking to practice as customs consultants. Applications are now open through ZATCA’s E-Services portal.
The initiative aims to standardise the customs consulting profession and improve adherence to customs tariffs, valuation, and rules of origin regulations. Licensed consultants are expected to assist businesses in navigating customs procedures, thereby supporting Saudi Arabia’s objective of becoming a global logistics hub.
Applicants must meet specific criteria outlined by ZATCA. Details on requirements and the application process are available on ZATCA’s official website.
The licensing program is part of broader efforts to enhance the efficiency of customs services and facilitate trade operations within the Kingdom.
