Bahrain-based alternative investment firm Investcorp will sell its majority stake in Shine: an European unicorn platform for SMEs.

The sell-off to Cegid, a cloud management and AI solutions business majority owned by Silver Lake, will go through its subsidiary: Investcorp Technology Partners (ITP).

The Danish based Shine is a provider of integrated digital solutions for SMEs across accounting. Customers are based in Europe yet it’s former backer, Investcorp, is based in Manama.

The selloff is subject to regulatory oversight.
