Emirati women are playing a growing role in the UAE’s small business landscape, with a rising share in launching ventures and leading household finances. A new study by GoDaddy shows that 24% of Emirati female small business owners are the primary income earners for their families.
The survey reveals that 66% of these women express confidence in their business capabilities, and 71% believe that artificial intelligence (AI) will enable their small businesses to compete with larger, better-resourced companies in the coming year. Emirati women report saving an average of 14 hours per week by utilizing AI tools, such as GoDaddy Airo, which simplifies website creation, logo design, and digital marketing strategies. This time savings is often redirected towards learning new skills (43%), generating creative ideas (40%), and planning for the future of their businesses (37%).
Furthermore, 66% of UAE women entrepreneurs anticipate business growth in the next three to five years and 66% report that entrepreneurship has positively impacted their quality of life, offering a sense of fulfilment and empowerment.
These findings highlight the significant role of Emirati women in the entrepreneurial landscape, showcasing their resilience and adaptability in leveraging technology to drive business success.
