UAE stock markets see Dh58 billion in deals

ADX and DFM have recorded 764 major deals in 2024 so far.

UAE stock markets have seen 764 major transactions totalling approximately Dh58 billion and involving 18 billion shares, since the start of the year.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) played a significant role, contributing 95.6% to the transaction value, while the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) made up the remaining 4.4%.

On the ADX, there were 549 transactions, with 16.6 billion shares traded, amounting to Dh55.4 billion. The Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) led with 78 transactions worth Dh22.4 billion on 7.6 billion shares. Fertiglobe followed with deals worth Dh13.28 billion on 4.15 billion shares across 44 transactions.

A notable single transaction was recorded by International Holding Company (IHC), valued at Dh4.38 billion.

Meanwhile, the DFM saw 215 transactions, trading 1.35 billion shares valued at Dh2.54 billion. The largest deal involved Mashreq, valued at Dh782.1 million, followed by BHM Capital at AED363.5 million, and Taaleem Holdings at over Dh245.7 million.
