The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) reported a 24.2% increase in real estate transactions in 2024, with deals rising 10.45% year-on-year to Dh96.2 billion. The sector recorded 28,249 transactions, including 16,735 sales valued at Dh58.5 billion and 11,514 mortgage transactions worth Dh37.7 billion.
In 2024, Abu Dhabi launched 38 off-plan real estate projects and completed 12 major developments. The new projects were designed to cater to diverse investor preferences, offering a range of unit sizes and price points.
Foreign direct investment growth
The real estate sector attracted Dh7.86 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2024, a 125% increase from the previous year. Contributions came from 2,302 investors across 105 countries, including the US, the UK, Kazakhstan, Russia, France and China.
