Dubai has retained its position as the top-ranked city in the Middle East and eighth globally in the 2024 Global Power City Index (GPCI), according to Japan’s Mori Memorial Foundation.

The index evaluates cities based on their ability to attract people, capital, and businesses across six categories: Economy, Research and Development, Cultural Interaction, Livability, Environment, and Accessibility.

“Dubai continues to redefine what is possible, combining innovation, sustainability, and a focus on nurturing talent,” said HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.

He highlighted key factors driving the city’s performance, including advanced infrastructure, progressive legislation, and public-private partnerships fostering growth and innovation.

“Dubai’s high ranking on global indices shows that we are not just keeping pace with the world, we are setting new benchmarks for excellence,” he added.
