Hilton and Aldar have signed Abu Dhabi’s first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property, transforming the Eastern Mangroves hotel into a luxury hospitality destination. Waldorf Astoria Abu Dhabi will feature 167 guest rooms and suites, many with views of the Mangrove National Park, and offer Waldorf Astoria’s signature service for the first time in the UAE capital.

Located near Mangrove National Park, the hotel offers outdoor activities such as kayaking and boating through the park’s water channels. Each guest has a Personal Concierge to manage their stay from pre-arrival to post-departure.

The hotel will offer a selection of dining options, including a brasserie, a rooftop restaurant, a pool lounge and the Peacock Alley. Additional amenities include three pools, a fitness club, a spa, two ballrooms and five meeting rooms. The hotel will be close to cultural sites like the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Hilton’s Carlos Khneisser emphasised the significance of the hotel’s location and its role in meeting Abu Dhabi’s growing tourism ambitions, as the city expects over 39 million visitors by 2030. “We see great opportunity in the city, and we are pleased to partner with Aldar to debut this iconic property,” he said.

The Waldorf Astoria Abu Dhabi will join Hilton’s portfolio of over 35 hotels in the UAE, including three other Waldorf Astoria properties.
