Investcorp, a global alternative investment firm, has agreed to sell its majority stake in Contentserv, a German provider of AI-driven Product Information Management (PIM) and Product Experience Management (PXM) solutions, to US-based Centric Software, a subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes. The transaction, valued at EUR 220 million, is expected to conclude by the end of the first quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approvals.

Since Investcorp’s acquisition in 2019, Contentserv has expanded its recurring revenues approximately sixfold, now serving over 1,600 customers across 90 countries. In 2023, Contentserv enhanced its European presence by acquiring Shoppingfeed in France, broadening its product capabilities into feed management.

This acquisition aligns with Centric Software’s strategy to enhance its product lifecycle management offerings, enabling clients to efficiently manage product content and optimise consumer experiences across digital sales channels.

Investcorp has a history of investing in technology-enabled businesses, with previous investments including VEDA, NetRom Software, Zift Solutions, and HWG Sababa. The sale of Contentserv follows successful exits from other DACH-based software companies, such as Avira and Softgarden.
