Salik and Parkonic have partnered with Dubai Holding to deploy the region’s first fully AI-powered autonomous parking system, covering more than 36,000 spaces across Dubai communities.
The rollout includes both on-street and off-street parking. The system removes the need for tickets, barriers, or manual inspection, and enables automatic, cashless payments through Salik’s infrastructure. The project supports Dubai’s Smart City 2030 and Future Mobility Vision.
Parkonic’s AI software integrates with Salik’s toll payment platform, allowing for seamless entry, exit, and billing. The system is designed to eliminate fines tied to overstays and reduce congestion across high-traffic areas.
The companies said the infrastructure will initially serve residents and visitors in Dubai Holding-managed developments. No timeline has been disclosed for future expansion.
Parkonic CEO Imad Alameddine said the partnership also positions Dubai for wider adoption of autonomous vehicles and AI-based transport services.
The initiative also supports Dubai’s Net Zero targets by aiming to cut emissions linked to traditional parking processes. Features include multilingual interfaces and end-to-end automation with no manual interaction required.
