NEOM, the sustainable regional development in northwestern Saudi Arabia, announced the launch of Topian, the NEOM Food Company.
Topian aims to revolutionise food production, distribution, and consumption through five pillars:
- Climate-proof agriculture;
- Regenerative aquaculture;
- Novel foods;
- Personalised nutrition; and
- Sustainable food supply and ESG
Supported by the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Topian aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, focusing on food security, climate change mitigation, and achieving net-zero emissions by 2060.
It aims to foster innovation in sustainable food production, promoting “Future to Table” concepts to address global food system challenges such as population growth, changing consumption patterns, climate change, and resource depletion.

The company has forged partnerships with entities like King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Tabuk University, Tabuk Fish Company, BlueNalu, Van der Hoeven Horticultural Projects, and Cargill, focusing on research, development, and innovative sustainable food production approaches.
