Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef stated that 90% of companies in Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector are small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Speaking at a dialogue session during the Industry and Mineral Resources Pioneers’ Week, organised by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), Alkhorayef noted the significant role of pioneering projects in the sector.

He highlighted the success of industrial technical applications in solving challenges in large industries. He emphasised the importance of innovative technologies in the mining sector for improving mine preservation, environmental protection, safety and productivity.

Alkhorayef stressed the need for the industrial sector to support both investor and entrepreneur entry and the sustainability of their projects. This includes helping investors navigate challenges and providing clear guidance. He also pointed to the mining sector as a promising area for entrepreneurs, backed by growing investor interest.

The minister encouraged entrepreneurs and SMEs to take advantage of the ministry’s incentives and initiatives in the industrial and mining sectors.
