The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) has projected the UAE’s food and beverage (F&B) sector’s revenues to hit Dh141 billion ($38.3 billion) in 2024.
The sector had reported a 19% rise in UAE F&B exports during the first half of the year.
ADCCI’s report also predicts Abu Dhabi’s online food and beverage sales will reach Dh2.3 billion ($619 million) by 2025, driven by a rise in e-commerce and market expansion. Consumer spending is expected to grow 6.3% in 2024, emphasising the sector’s long-term viability.
The statistics were shared in a report coinciding with Global Food Week 2024, an event gathering experts, academics, and international businesses in agriculture and food production. The event, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, runs until Thursday, 28th November, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Reflecting the sector’s strength, 2,540 new companies joined ADCCI from January to October 2023, accounting for 8.2% of the Chamber’s membership.
