The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has implemented CAR Airspace Part Uspace, the region’s inaugural national regulation certifying air navigation service providers for unmanned aircraft.
This regulation establishes a comprehensive framework for organisations aiming to offer drone air navigation services, ensuring adherence to stringent operational and safety standards. It encompasses contracting, training, quality assurance, safety, future planning, auditing, and certification.
The GCAA anticipates that licensed entities providing specialised air navigation services for drones will contribute to a cohesive, efficient, and safe airspace.
