UAE to invest Dh36.7 billion in Pakistan’s economy

The two nations plan to increase cooperation across various sectors.

The UAE has pledged $10 billion (Dh36.7 billion) to invest in promising economic sectors in Pakistan, according to the UAE Ministry of Investment.

This announcement was made after a meeting between His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed strategies to strengthen the Pakistani economy and boost cooperation between the two nations.

The two nations plan to increase cooperation in various priority sectors including economy, trade, and development, to enhance both countries’ vision of sustainable economic development and prosperity.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister commended the UAE’s development journey and invited the UAE president to visit Pakistan, an offer which he accepted, AFP said.
