HSBC has partnered with Janus Henderson to launch a new global equity fund exclusively to HSBC Private Bank and Premier clients across the EMEA, North America, and Asia.
The fund opened today for an initial six-month subscription period.
Discovering New Alpha
The Discovering New Alpha (DNA) Fund is an exclusive equity fund available to HSBC Private Bank and Premier clients across Europe, North America, and Asia.
DNA compiles approximately 50 high-conviction stocks aligned with the structural trends shaping tomorrow’s markets. DNA was designed as a solution to address growing investor concerns about the limited options for stock investment.
Timing of DNA and HSBC Expanse
Janus Henderson’s collaboration with HSBC reflects Henderson’s push to offer investors targeted stocks, relevant to HSBC’s clientele within the GCC. Henderson is a leading global active asset manager headquartered in London.
HSBC opened its first MENA wealth hub in Dubai to tap the UAE investment market in September 2025.
Themes and Portfolio Optimisation
Richard Clode and Nick Harper are leading the expanded portfolio; Clode is heading up the thematic framework across the investment desks whilst Harper is managing portfolio optimisation.
The themes range across seven transformational areas: smarter automation, mobility, lifestyle changes, longevity, biotechnology, sovereignty, and net zero 2.0.
GCC Investment: Portfolios Beyond AI
AI is the most significant equity opportunity for GCC investors going into 2026.
Yet wealth management firms, namely J.P. Morgan’s MENAT Managing Director, Steven Rees, is advising investors to spread risk and maintain a diversified portfolio.
Lavanya Chari, the Head of Wealth and Premier Solutions, HSBC commented on the importance of diversification within this new equity fund as this fund “uncovers new investment opportunities beyond AI while mitigating portfolio concentration risk.”
