Qatar tax filing period for 2024 now open

The GTA urged all companies with commercial registration or licenses to file their tax returns through the Dhareeba tax portal.

The General Tax Authority (GTA) announced that the tax filing period for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, will run from January 1, 2025, to April 30, 2025.

In accordance with the Income Tax Law (Law No. 24 of 2018), its Executive Regulations, and subsequent amendments, all entities subject to the law must file their tax returns during this period. This includes tax-exempt companies, entities wholly owned by Qatari or GCC nationals, and those with non-Qatari partners.

The GTA urged all companies and enterprises with commercial registration or licenses to file their tax returns through the Dhareeba tax portal.

The authority reaffirmed its commitment to providing integrated services to simplify the filing process and ensure taxpayers receive the guidance to meet their obligations on time.

“This aligns with the GTA’s commitment to streamline tax procedures, enhance compliance, support Qatar’s fiscal policy objectives, and promote sustainable economic growth,” the authority stated.
