Saudi Arabia’s Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has instructed firms with goods and services revenues exceeding SAR 40 million to file their VAT returns for May by June 30. Failure to comply will result in fines ranging from 5% to 25% of the tax amount due.

ZATCA reminded businesses they can submit returns and make payments via its official website or smartphone app. The authority also offered support through a 24/7 call centre (19993), its X account (@Zatca_Care), email and website chat.

This update follows a penalty waiver initiative that is valid through June 30, which allows registered taxpayers to avoid fines for late filings and payments issued before that date.
