Mashreq appoints Philip Philippides as CEO of Mashreq Capital

Philipides’s career spans significant roles at Morgan Stanley, Blackrock/iShares, MSCI and Amundi.

Mashreq has announced the appointment of Philip Philippides as the CEO of Mashreq Capital. With over 28 years of experience from major global financial firms like Morgan Stanley and Blackrock, Philippides will lead the expansion of Mashreq Capital’s asset management business.

Philipides’s career spans significant roles at Morgan Stanley, Blackrock/iShares, MSCI and Amundi, along with his strategic consulting practice. He has a proven track record of driving growth in both revenue and assets under management. His previous achievements include expanding Amundi’s ETF and active fund business in the UK and distributing various asset classes, including ESG investments.

In his new role, Philip will focus on growing assets under management, engaging clients, and positioning Mashreq Capital as a top asset management provider in the MENA region. He aims to develop new investment solutions and ensure the company stays ahead of market trends.

Philip holds an MBA from Bayes Business School and degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University and the University of London (Queen Mary).
