Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts has agreed with Eagle Hills to build a private island resort and a mansions complex in Abu Dhabi, set to open in 2030. Located on a horseshoe-shaped island off the Corniche, the development will comprise 60 rooms and suites, 30 villas, each with private pools, and 90 mansions ranging from 1,650 m² to 2,500 m², with eight featuring their own beaches and some offering private boat docks for vessels up to 25 m.
A marina with 40 berths will anchor the property, which will be accessible via a new bridge or by sea. The central resort building will house a spa with a 25-metre lap pool, a 1,000 m² fitness centre, and a ballroom. Dining venues will include Il Ristorante by Niko Romito, Japanese restaurant Hōseki, a Turkish offering, La Spiaggia, the Bvlgari Bar, Il Caffè, La Galleria retail concept and a Dolci boutique.
ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel will design the structures, while Milan-based LAND SRL will oversee landscaping, blending Italian and Arabian design motifs through dunes, gardens and sculptural elements.
Bvlgari CEO Jean‑Christophe Babin said the development stands as a tribute to Abu Dhabi’s cultural identity and praised the private-island setting. He called it the brand’s most ambitious project to date. Eagle Hills’ Mohamed Alabbar echoed that it reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a hub for luxury living.
Industry analysts view the project as part of Abu Dhabi’s growing appeal to high-end hospitality investors, following earlier successes like Jumeirah Bay and aligning with increasing demand for ultra-luxury destinations.
