The volume of trade exchange between Jordan and Qatar saw a 4% increase in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period last year.

The trade balance between the two countries reached approximately QAR448 million ($123 million) in the first half of this year, up from QAR430 million ($118.1 million) in the first half of 2023, according to the latest trade statistics from the Qatar Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA), as reported by the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

Jordan’s exports to Qatar include a variety of consumer goods, particularly fresh and processed foods such as vegetables, fruits, meat, dates, dairy products, poultry, grains, desserts and other consumer products.

On the other hand, Qatar’s exports to Jordan consist of various chemical materials, including automobile oils, sulfonic acid, lutein, aluminium molds, polyethylene, iron rods, chemical fertilizers, plastic bags, automobile engine oils, organic fertilizer, and medical solutions.

The trade balance between the two nations has been growing significantly over the years, driven by the increasing demand for Jordanian food and consumer products in Qatar.
