The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) reported a 10.3% year‑on‑year increase in Certificates of Origin issued between June 2024 and June 2025, reflecting a broader base of exporters and growing economic diversification.
During the first half of 2025, Abu Dhabi’s non‑oil foreign trade reached Dh195.4 billion, up 34.7% from Dh145 billion in H1 2024. Non‑oil exports rose 64% to Dh78.5 billion, re‑exports climbed 35% to Dh36 billion, and imports increased 15% to Dh80 billion.
Most Certificates of Origin were issued in the chemicals, metals and engineering sectors, underscoring the emirate’s expanding industrial capabilities. ADCCI notes that small and medium‑sized enterprises are increasingly participating in export activity, supported by the Chamber’s export training, matchmaking and digital platforms.
Abu Dhabi Customs attributes the trade expansion to efficient infrastructure, advanced logistics and streamlined border operations, which have made trade flows more seamless.
