Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports rose by 10.5% in the second quarter of 2024, compared to the same period a year prior, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GAS).
The International Trade Bulletin for Q2 2024, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), revealed that national non-oil exports grew by 1.4%, excluding re-exports. The value of re-exported goods saw a significant increase of 39.1% during the same period.
The bulletin further indicated that the value of non-petroleum exports, including re-exports, rose by 4.3%. However, commodity exports in Q2 2024 slightly declined by 0.2% compared to Q2 2023, and the value of imports decreased by 5.6%, mainly due to a 3.3% reduction in petroleum exports.
The share of petroleum exports in total exports for Q2 2024 dropped to 75% from 77.4% in the same quarter last year.
