The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) has launched Digital Zero Four, a new company focused on AI-driven digital transformation in trade, logistics, and commercial operations. The firm will operate under the PCFC’s Technology and Digital Transformation sector and will provide services across port security, customs, licensing, and maritime operations.
The announcement was made by PCFC Chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, who said the company aims to export Dubai-developed digital and logistics solutions to global markets. He linked the launch to Dubai’s broader economic agenda, including the D33 strategy, which targets trade-led growth and increased technological self-reliance.
Digital Zero Four is positioned as a national technology company focused on building and scaling AI-powered solutions across multiple sectors. According to PCFC, the company will act as a commercial channel for services originally developed in-house, turning internal capabilities into exportable products.
CEO Nasser Al Neyadi said the firm will be staffed by UAE nationals and will focus on building commercially viable tools that address institutional inefficiencies and regulatory processes. The company will initially prioritise services in port management, customs automation, civil engineering workflows, and licensing platforms.
The UAE has been accelerating efforts to digitalise its ports and logistics infrastructure. Dubai’s port operator, DP World, has already developed proprietary platforms like CARGOES, while AD Ports and Etihad Rail are working on AI-integrated freight systems. The launch of Digital Zero Four aligns with a broader regional trend of state-led tech firms targeting international markets with homegrown solutions.
No investment figure or operational timeline was disclosed.
