Indian firms lead foreign business registrations in Dubai, Pakistan and Egypt follow

The data echoes the continued role of South Asian and Middle Eastern companies in shaping Dubai’s private sector activity.

Indian-owned companies accounted for the highest number of new foreign business registrations with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in the first quarter of 2025, according to new data released by the Chamber.

A total of 4,543 Indian firms joined the Chamber between January and March 2025, reflecting a 4.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Pakistan ranked second with 2,154 new companies, followed by Egypt with 1,362.

Bangladesh recorded the highest growth rate among the top ten, with a 28.5% year-on-year increase, reaching 817 new registrations. The UK added 678 companies, while Syria contributed 462. Jordan registered 350, China 347, Türkiye 329, and Iraq 303.

The data echoes the continued role of South Asian and Middle Eastern companies in shaping Dubai’s private sector activity. The Dubai Chamber of Commerce is one of three entities operating under Dubai Chambers, supporting business development and foreign investment in the emirate.

Sector-wise, wholesale and retail trade accounted for the largest share of new member companies at 36.2%, followed by real estate, renting, and business services at 35.4%. Construction accounted for 16.7%, social and personal services for 7.7%, and transport, storage, and communications for 7.5%.
