Dubai International Airport (DXB) has introduced the ‘Emirati District,’ a new hub aimed at empowering young Emirati entrepreneurs. This initiative, led by the Federal Youth Authority in collaboration with the Fatima bint Mohamed bin Zayed Initiative, is a key component of the National Youth Agenda 2031, which seeks to position Emirati youth as regional and global role models and enhance their access to international markets, state news agency WAM reported on Monday.
Located between Concourses B and C in Terminal 3, the Emirati District is poised to attract significant foot traffic, with an estimated six to seven million guests annually. The space offers a platform for launching small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in high-growth sectors and provides specialised training programs focused on effective management and competitiveness in both local and international markets.
The launch features four flagship projects:
- Amadal by Afnan Bushalat, offering products that provide a taste of home.
- Mira Farms by FBMI, a social enterprise empowering underprivileged communities, particularly female farmers, by providing global market access for their natural produce.
- Nuwa by Abdulaziz Al-Jabri, a brand celebrating the UAE’s agricultural heritage by using locally sourced ingredients to produce world-class quality products.
- From the Arab by Alyazi Almheiri, a luxury home fragrance brand reintroducing Arabic scents to modern homes worldwide.
This initiative aligns with the UAE’s broader strategy to invest in youth development, as outlined in the National Youth Agenda 2031, which aims to empower young Emiratis to be major contributors to national economic growth and to embody Emirati identity and culture.
